Mutare Polytechnic Students Rally for National Clean-Up Day

In a powerful display of civic duty and environmental stewardship, Mutare
Polytechnic students took up brooms and bins on Friday, 06 February, to clean their
surroundings as part of the national clean-up programme. This monthly initiative,
championed by His Excellency President E.D. Mnangagwa since 2018, calls upon
citizens nationwide to unite in fostering a cleaner, healthier Zimbabwe.
The campaign saw a remarkable turnout of students from every department,
reflecting a shared commitment to this national priority. Their collective effort
transformed the day into a vibrant, hands-on lesson in sustainability and community
service, reinforcing the institution’s role in shaping responsible citizens.
By dedicating their time and energy, the students did more than beautify their
campus; they actively ensured it remains a safe and inspiring hub for learning and
innovation, cultivating a lasting culture of personal responsibility and environmental
care.
